How do we raise cancer awareness in our local communities?

In the latest CR podcast, patient advocate Mary Jackson Scroggins talks to podcast correspondent Kevin Begos about reaching out to our communities with information about cancer and health. Scroggins, an ovarian cancer survivor, recently helped to organize a one-day Health Sunday event at First Rock Baptist Church, which is located in a medically underserved section of Washington, D.C. Scroggins discusses the role of events like Health Sunday and also shares her perspective on co-founding the nonprofit organization In My Sister's Care—an organization dedicated to eliminating health disparities with a focus on cancer.
